I have contacted Viart support about this issue twice, but haven't heard back in the past few days (and don't expect to in the next few because of the holiday and weekend), so I'm hoping that another user might be able to help me solve this problem.

When I select "checkout" from the shopping cart, then select the "open account and check out (customer)" link on the Checkout:Login page, it takes me to a blank page (http://www.mysite.com/user_profile.php?return_page=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mysite.com%2Forder_info.php&type=1).

When I first contacted Viart support, they suggested that the problem was the "additional link within the main link", since the direct link (http://www.mysite.com/user_profile.php) works and that I should contact my hosting provider (HostGator) to "check whether there is some prohibition of extra links in the main link".

I then spent 45 minutes on the phone with HostGator support who verified that the problem was not caused by server settings. HostGator support says that the "issue lies in [Viart's] REGEXP functions that rewrite the URL".

Has anyone else experienced this problem and solved it? If so, it would be much appreciated if you could share your solution. Is there a way I could change the "open account and check out (customer)" link to go directly to http://www.mysite.com/user_profile.php? I am using the current free version of Viart.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I heard back from ViArt support again this morning. They reiterate that it is not a bug within ViArt but is the result of a security setting with HostGator.

Has anyone found a way to use ViArt with HostGator (either by modifying ViArt code or by changing security settings with HostGator)?

I modified the code to be the direct link - seems to be working just fine now.

Hello!

There is a solution!

I've logged in to the live chat in hostgator, selected the technical option.

Told, that there may be a "prohibition of extra links in the main link" problem. I described how to get the bug in the live site (this was a little hard, cause of the hungarian language).

It was about 5-6 minutes, than it was fixed. I asked for some details to share here, and she sad:

"I had to whitelist some rules that were being hit by our mod_security. It should no longer be an issue."

So try the HG Support Chat!

Hi there

@Bailey, which template file (php or HTML page) did you modify to correct this problem?

I've got the same issue, and also contact ViArt support, they gave me the same answer that you received.

I have worked with a ViArt site in the past where I corrected it manually, but for the life of me I can't find it now!

Looking forward to hearing from you.
