This is what I am trying to accomplish:
Let's say I sell cakes. The main product is a whole cake with a whole cake price. I would like to sell a portion of that cake by weight as an option with it's own price, but not create a duplicate product listing. I was wondering if it was possible to set a radio button or something for "whole cake" and "slice of cake."

I'm sure I just missed this function in the manual somewhere, but I can't seem to figure this one out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Try OPTIONS - unless you want an infinite number of portions.

Let's say your cake can be cut into quarters.

Offer a price for a whole cake.

In options make options:
1: Whole Cake
2: Half Cake - and show price adjustment of 50% (or whatever)
3: Quarter Cake - and show price adjustment

If customer wants 3/4 Cake they buy 3 Quarter Cakes

I think you can use negative price adjustments.

Otherwise start with a 1/4 Cake and show price additions for 1/2, 3/4 and a full cake. Actually that may be better.

Hope this helps, perhaps someone has a better idea with a price matrix or whatever - this would be my route.

Chris-

The options idea with negative pricing seems to have worked great. I just wish I could hide the (-$50) or whatever price marking and replace it with just the price of the "slice of cake." That's just aesthetics really, but it would be nice...

Thanks for the help!

Hi Norbu:

Search the forum, I recently saw a method of removing the add-on prices for the options.
