Brief We've updated all shipping modules for version 3.6. This update allows to set a number of items to be sent in one package.
Solution The update can be downloaded from: http://www.viart.com/downloads/shipping-3.6.zip Important note: after installation of all scripts you should go to DB management (within your Admin panel) and run the below query: ALTER TABLE va_items MODIFY COLUMN packages_number DOUBLE(16,4)
Then an administrator will be able to use decimal values, like 0.1 in the 'Packages Number' field. This means that one box may have 10 identical products in one package.

You should bump this up next to the other thread about UPS or combine them somehow. This solution does seem to work, but it is a little confusing at first, and it appears to make the products dimensions irrelevant. There is no way you would normally think to enter a decimal for the # of packages in the admin. Thanks though.
