If you need to change the order of your present product categories, please go to Administration > Products > Products & Categories > 'Available categories' block and click 'Change Order' link at the bottom of the 'Available Categories' block. Your screen should look like:

As you can see there are two text areas: Available Categories and Shown on Site. Since by default all available categories are shown on the site, the text area on the left is empty.

You can specify which categories should be shown on the site and their sequence by moving the category names between the text areas or within the 'Shown on Site' text area.

• Select the category you want to move
• Click the up arrow next to the text area to move the category upward
• Click the down arrow next to the text area to move the category downward
• Click the cross to delete the category (it will move back to the 'Available Categories' text area)

• Select the category you want to move
• Click any of the arrows next to the text area
