Whether you want to add a new product type (click the 'New Product Type' link) or to edit an existing one (click the 'Edit Product Type' link), you will have to specify the following settings:

• Type Name defines the name of the type.
• Gift Voucher. If ticked off, a gift voucher will be generated for every order placed. In other words if a customer buys a product assigned to this product type, the system will create a gift voucher; for more information about gift vouchers see section 5.9.3.
• Bundle. If ticked off, only product components will be added to the shopping cart; for more information see section 5.4.4.
Note: There are special default product types named ‘Gift Voucher’ and 'Bundle' supplied with the system.
