This can be commented in the \templates\users\block_product_details.html file. 

Find the following line: 

"<a onClick="window.open('{tell_friend_href}','tell_friend','toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=no,width=625,height=400'); return false;" href="{tell_friend_href}"><img src="images/ico-friend.gif" alt="{TELL_FRIEND_TITLE}" width="20" height="20" border="0"></a>"

and comment it, so that it looks like: 

"<!--<a nClick="window.open('{tell_friend_href}','tell_friend','toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=no,width=625,height=400'); 
return false;" href="{tell_friend_href}"><img src="images/ico-friend.gif" alt="{TELL_FRIEND_TITLE}" width="20" height="20" border="0"></a>-->"

To remove printing option comment these lines: 

"<a href="{product_print_href} item_id={item_id}"><img src="images/ico-print.gif" alt="{PRINTER_FRIENDLY_MSG}" width="20" height="20" border="0"></a>"
