Need to upgrade the forum feature to be more interactive, including ability to add links, images, etc. Is a must where have CMS.
May integrate one of existing forums, such as phpbb or have plugin like you can get for likes of Joomla such as Fireboard or Joomla Board.

Sorry away quite a while, been busy.
I think something akin to phbb boards where can post images and use signatures is the way forward. May be even just designing integration bridge or code may be quicker
Be useful to use on these forums as well as would make more appealing to users and make it more familiar.
