As time goes by, your online portal will grow more and more. And it will be quite difficult to watch everything on it, especially what your customers may add or post. In such a way you can make your life easier by using banned content functionality.
In other words you may compose a list of words or phrases you do not want to be on your site. So, when a customer will try to use one of them in a product review or on a forum topic, the system won't pass it through.
Please go to Administration > System > Banned Content and click the 'Add New Text' link. Your screen should look like the following:
All you have to do is to enter a word or a phrase you want to be banned and click the 'Add New'.
A few things to keep in mind when composing a banned content list:
- You have to add each word or phrase separately.
- If you add two words as a phrase, the system won't ban them individually.
- The functionality is applied to article reviews (see details) and forum topics (see details).
