One of the most attractive features of ViArt Shop is its customizability. You can easily make your online store unique and exclusive by adding custom pages.

In order to take a closer look at custom pages, please go to Administration > ViArt CMS > Custom Pages. Your screen should look like following:

Here is the list of predefined custom pages used in your ViArt Shop. For sure, you can edit them as you like as well as create your own custom pages. Let's take a look at what you should do to create a custom page.

First of all, please press the 'New page' link in the right bottom corner of the page. The screen you see consists of four main sections, namely General Page Information, Page Types, Page Sources, and Meta Data.

Note: Should you want to edit an existing page, click the corresponding 'Edit page' link; the screen will be the same.

General Page Information

The first thing to do is to make the page available by ticking off the 'Allow access to this page' checkbox.

Next, you will have to provide some general information about the page you are creating, like:

• Page Code. This code will be used to call this page, e.g. www.yourshop.com/page.php?page=test.html
• Page Title will be shown as title in a browser's window.
• Friendly URL can include a search engine friendly URL of the page. Note that in order to be able to use the Friendly URLs functionality, it should be turned on on the System Settings screen (for more information (see section 2.1).
• Page Order defines the order of all custom pages and is set automatically.
• Show Link in Footer. If ticked off, a link to this page will be shown at the foot of the page.

Page Types

Here you have to define two parameters: Page Format (HTML or Plain Text) and Window Type (Usual Window or a Pop-up).

Page Sources

ViArt Shop allows using three different sources for your custom pages:

• Redirect to URL. You can create an html page (or any other) and put it into the root folder of your online store (actually, you can even create a separate folder for such pages) and then just redirect your visitors to its URL. Note that in such a case all settings like page title, etc. will be taken from the file itself.
• Get Body from File. In this case only the body of the file indicated will be taken (i.e. the part between the and tags. All other settings, like style, title, etc. will be the same as for the rest of your store's pages.
• Page Body. Another way is to create a page straight in the system. You can use a WYSIWYG HTML Editor or a Textarea editor (you can choose either of these at System > System Settings > Adminstrator HTML Editor).

Meta Data

These fields allow you enter such meta information as page title, meta keywords and description.

In order to save the changes you made click the 'Save' button.
In order to leave without saving click 'Cancel'.
