2.3.2. Global website layout
The overall view of each layout is set by its global settings.
In order to set them up please go to Administration > Layouts > Edit Layout (choose the appropriate layout). Here you can change the feel and look of an existing layout as well as create a new one.
The following fields are:
Layout Name will be shown in the main list of all available layouts (at admin_layouts.php page).
Style Name can contain a short description of the style you apply to the layout
Templates Directory presents the actual path to where templates for storefront pages are stored.
When creating a new layout you have to place the corresponding folder with associated files to the folder
where all your templates are located (By default it is the 'Templates' folder directly in the root directory).
In such a way the system will prompt you to select the appropriate folder from the drop-down list on the right.
Note: Since ViArt CMS is based on CSS, so there is only one set of templates for different designs. This eases the process of changing the feel and look of your online portal significantly.
Admin Templates Directory presents the actual path to where templates for administration section are stored.
By default it is the 'Admin' folder, but you can change this if necessary.
Note: for security reasons we would suggest moving templates folders out from the web-tree.
For example after installation your 'Templates' directory is set to "./templates/user".
You could move it one level up and set to "../templates/user". Thus templates folder will not be accessed from web.
In order to save the changes you made click the 'Update' button.
In order to delete the layout click the 'Delete' button.
If you want to leave without saving click 'Cancel'.
