5.1.1. List page
|

As many other ViArt Shop pages the 'List page' of the product section consists of so called blocks. ViArt includes many predefined blocks supported by the online store system, or if required, you can create you own (for more information about custom blocks please see section 1).
In general your screen should look as follows:
Note: The process of setting up page blocks is similar for any page of your online store, the only difference is the set of blocks you can put to the page. Thus, if you have already customized your home page layout, you shouldn't face any problems here.
At the top of the screen you will see the 'Available blocks' field; as the name suggests all available blocks are listed here. If you have created any custom blocks they will be also be displayed in the list.
Adding a block
In order to add a block follow the instructions below:
- Select the required block from the 'Available blocks' list
- Set the block settings in the blue text window on the right. Note: Some blocks may not have any settings
- Choose the column that you want to add the block to, and click any of the 'Add block' arrows
The block will be added to the corresponding column.
Moving blocks between columns
In order to move a block from one column to another:
- Select the block you want to move
- Click the single arrow to move the block to the adjoining column
- Click the double arrow to move the block to the opposite column
Moving blocks within a column
You can change the block order within a column
- Select the block you want to move
- Click the up arrow next to the column to move the block upward
- Click the down arrow next to the column to move the block downward
- Click the cross to delete the block (it will return to the 'Available blocks' list)
Managing columns
- In order to set up column width, enter the value into the corresponding 'Column width' text box. You can either use percents or pixels.
- In order to hide a column, tick the corresponding check box; The column won't be shown on the site.
One more thing to keep in mind when setting up blocks:
The main block of the page is certainly the ‘Products list’ block, it shows the products belonging to the chosen category. By default it is the ‘Top’ category (for more information about categories see section 5.2). This means that when a customer goes to the 'Product' section of your store, he/she sees the products of the 'Top' category. When a customer starts to browse the category list, the system shows the corresponding products. Thus, make sure that all your categories have at least one product assigned.
In order to save the changes you made click the 'Update' button.
If you want to leave without saving click 'Cancel'.
