You can make your product descriptions more organized by using specification groups. However, ViArt Shop offers a more advanced feature: you can set predefined specifications for a product type, i.e. for a group of products with similar characteristics.

Click the corresponding 'Predefined Specification' link at Administration > Shopping cart > Products & Categories > Product types. Your screen should look like the following:

Note: The drop-down menu in the 'Group & name' column is a default one and can be edited from the 'Specification Groups' section (for more information see section 5.3.3).

• In the 'Group & name' drop-down menu, select a required group.
• In the line below, enter a group name.
• In the 'Predefined Value(s)' text area, enter the specification values you might need. Note that you have to enter one value per line.

You can delete any predefined specification by ticking off the corresponding 'Delete' check box. In case you need more of them click the 'Add' button.

Note: You have just set up predefined specifications for a certain product type. You will be able to use them when adding a product assigned to this specific type. For more information see section 5.4.5.
