You can make your product descriptions more organized by using product specifications.

In ViArt Shop you can set up specification groups (common for all products of your online store) as well as predefined specifications (common for all products of a specific product type). The last step is defining individual specifications for each product.

Note: For more information about specification groups see section 5.3.3 and about predefined specifications see section 5.3.2.3.

In order to set up individual product specifications please go to Administration > Products & Categories > your category > your product > Specification.

Actually, if you have already worked with the specification groups and predefined specifications, you have the most part of the work done. All you have to do now is to select a value from the list.

Your screen should look like the following:

Note: In case you haven't set up any specification groups and predefined specifications yet, the 'Name' and 'Value' fields will be empty and in the 'Group' drop-down list default values will be used.

The main thing in setting up product specifications is to understand where what value is taken from. So, the fields are as following:

• Group is presented by a drop-down list with the values set up in the 'Specification Groups' section. The default values are General, Sizes and Accessories, but you can make any changes you need. For more information see section 5.3.3.
• Name as well as Value is set up in the 'Predefined specification' section. In fact, the fields are the same as in the 'Predefined specification' section; the only exception is that the predefined values are presented in the form of a drop-down list. For more information see section 5.3.2.3

Thus, theoretically all you have to do to set up product specifications is to select some values from the lists. However, you are still able to edit them directly.

In order to delete a specification, tick off the corresponding check box. Click 'Add' if you need more specifications.
