Hello,
 
California has 2 different tax rates.
San Diego County is currently 8.75% and the rest of the state is 8.25%
 
Can we separate these somehow? By zip code maybe, or .... ?

Really, that's fantastic, thanks. But I don't see it anywhere. I'm running version 3.5
 
I'm on this page of the manual as well and don't see any reference: http://www.viart.com/setting_up_shopping_cart_tax_rates.html

In 3.6 you can create a new tax rate in "Orders > Tax Rates" and link that to a particular geographic area. You can also change the shipping tax for the new rate as well as override the new rate for particular product types.
