If you're like me, you get tired of typing into USPS web site forms, or even using cut-and-paste from your Invoices or Packing Slips. Well, I am fixing this for myself so that I needn't do either, nor will I be using a postage service. If you are interested, read on.

1. I am writing a script to dump my current 'paid' orders to a flat text file, or perhaps XML.
2. I am writing a small local computer application that will do two things: It imports the text or XML file mentioned in 1, and then loads the USPS Shipping Label website in a form, and then for each label you want to create, the application will allow you to simply press a few buttons and all the data will go in the right place, weight, address, etc, and you have spent a lot less time, and gotten all your items into labels in your cart and are ready to checkout and print your lables. This is all done inside the application, and 99% of it fully atutomated.

If you're interested, let me know. I plan to write, test and then distribute this application for a tiny fee.

Whatever you come up with on your script let me know. I may become your first customer. I'll looking for a USPS Electronic Merchandise Return script that will allow users to go onto my website, and print prepaid shipping labels. All they have to do is enter their name and address information and click submit, and it takes them to the prepaid shipping label.

Thanks!

David,

You misunderstood my script. Read the post again. What you want to do requires integration with the Viart engine, and for a hundred bucks or so, Viart would build it for you. This requires XML and integration with the USPS servers, and for you to pay in bulk and in advance via USPS for mailing labels your customers request. Go here to read more:
