ViArt Shop v.3.5 released

ViArt Shop 3.5 released!

We are proud to announce our new 3.5 version which is updated with new excellent features and improvements. You will be definitely interested in viewing the below list of new features.

  • Mark products as 'new' as per selected criteria

    To attract customers’ attention, ViArt Shop is updated with the new feature which allows you to display new products appeared in your shop with the mark ‘NEW’. The settings are available at Administration > Products > Products Settings > New Product Settings section. To activate the feature, check off the option ‘Enable New Product Mark’ and further select what kind of sorting to use in the ‘Sort Order’. Please note that if you select Product Issue Date, then it is obligatory to enter the Issue Date when you add a new product. The last setting is to define when the ‘New’ mark is to be displayed on the site.

  • Price Matrix is added

    A frequently requested feature to display volume prices as a matrix has been added to this release. To attune the functionality firstly add volume prices via Administration > Products&Categories > Prices link (which is located below the title of the product). Please, refer to our manual to get more information on setting Volume Pricing

    When this is done, go to Products Settings > Appearance section and activate Price matrix to be displayed on the Product List page and (or) on the Products Details page. Check the site.

  • Separate quantity control option for listing and details pages

    From this version quantity control becomes more flexible and you can choose to display different quantity control on Products Listing and Details page. The settings are available at Administration > Products Settings > Global Settings section.

  • A new option to use an Email Address for the Login field

    Now you can provide your customers with a choice to use either alphanumeric symbols or e-mail address for a registration procedure. To select one of these methods, please go to Administration > Site Users > Profile Settings > Predefined Fields > Login Details section.

  • Min/Max quantity limits for products in the shipping methods

    Custom shipping methods were updated with a new option ‘Quantity’ which allows you to set minimum and maximum quantity of items for a particular shipping method. For example, you want to set the shipping cost according to a certain quantity of items bought. Then you set the appropriate values in the minimum and maximum fields and this shipping method will be displayed and calculated if a client purchases the amount specified.

  • Possibility to select a free shipping option for products

    At last, a separate option ‘Free Shipping’ per product has been implemented. By activating this option on the Edit Product page (Stock&Shipping tab), a particular product is released from shipping charges.

  • Possibility to set an individual shipping cost per each product

    In case you do not want to set a free shipping per a product, you have a possibility to specify individual shipping cost for a product. This is done via Administration > Products > Edit Product page > Stock&Shipping tab > Shipping section.

  • Options to show points and credits information on invoices

    New options for displaying points and credits on invoices have been added to this 3.5 version. The settings are available at Administration > Products > Products Settings > Points&Credits tab.

  • BOM (Bill of Materials) for Selected Orders

    Bill of materials (or BOM) is now available in ViArt shopping cart. A BOM is similar to a recipe; this is a pdf document which lists the components and sub-assemblies of the order(s). The bill of materials is usually included with the product before shipping it to a merchandiser, client, or buyer. You may benefit from this feature should you decide to upgrade to this version. To view BOM please select an order (via your Sales Orders) and press the ‘BOM’ link.

  • A new way of showing the subcomponents in the cart

    From 3.5 version, you have two options to display subcomponents on the checkout pages: a) underneath parent products and b) as each separate product. You will find the setting via Administration > Orders > Order Profile Page.

  • Enhance Special Offers Page/Block to show all Pricing, Discount and Reward fields as set in the Admin pages

    Siginificant enhancements were done for a Special offer block. These new settings are available at: Administration > CMS > CMS settings > Listing Page Layout (for example) > Products (Special Offers) block. Tick off appropriate options and save the changes.

  • Possibility to display tiny images on PDF/HTML invoices and checkout pages

    We consider it useful to add the display of tiny products images on PDF/HTML invoices and checkout pages. If you want to make this option active go to Administration > Products > Products Settings > Cart Columns section.

  • Other new features added and bug fixes
    A new Gate2Shop payment system has been added
    The problem with transparency when resizing images is fixed
    Possibility for users to edit their own forum messages
