Can customers "add to basket" when javascript is not enabled in the browser?

Hi,
 
'Add to basket' uses JavaScript if the product has some options or editable price. Otherwise there is generated a special link which adds product to basket.

It's pretty poor accessibility to require Javascript to add products to the cart, not to mention the potential to reduce sales.
 
I've only just started evaluation ViArt but it seemed to always use JS for my test product (the only option displayed to the user was QTY)
 
Are there other aspects of the customer front end (navigating, ordering etc.) that require JS?
