Thank you comments, foxtrotdomains I believe our team had already propose a solution regarding shipping that would meet your requirements.

christopherO, we'll include instructions for ViArt upgrade. If you recall "Business Management" that we showcased, where the cart and search span across the columns its just a plugin
http://www.holleyland.com/project2/index.php -

Only required 1 line of code in the header include 1 text file and java script place in the directory. Whenever you upgrade, just paste the code to the html template. I'm sure each addon or plugin would be a bit different depending on the results that we wish to achieve. But this give the flavor.

Have a pleasant day.

Tony, I look forward to this very much.

foxtrotdomains ----- I don't know why you would praise Viart for this, they did nothing about it and now somebosy else is picking up their slack.

A software company can never fulfill all it's clients needs and wishes. It requires supporting companies to design and code other features that enhance the product.

You have to acknowledge the fact that ViArt is open source and allows modification to its existing software. Other cart companies tend to 'close' their doors to this sort of cooperation. The fact that they have Holleyland and ViArt guru on their site shows that they are willing to allow for other companies to help their client base.

They can easily say that they would do their own development at their pace, and since they realize that they cannot, they allow others to fill the void.

You must also realise that ViArt cannot 'jump' at each wish or suggestion that an individual puts in. They have their own direction and focus for their cart software and in the process they may loose some clients but will retain the majority.

I understand what you are saying, but don't you think that they are being very fair in allowing others to sell modules that help our business? I mean you can have a project and now have 3 of them quote on it. ViArt, Holleyland and ViArt guru, I think that is very considerate.

Depends on how you look at it; they are actually opening the door for us, rather then shutting it. For that I say move forward.

Well said foxtrotdomains.

I get tired of the petty knocks. I have to disagree with on2dvd that there is slack - when did Viart have an obligation to sell templates? It is for them to decide their business model and we can decide whether to buy it.

If all I ever have is what I have now - Viart is exceptional value for money; and it makes me a very good profit on my sales. Perhaps that's my difference, I use it to sell lots of product and that keeps me happy Broad grin

And on top of that I get great support from Anjula & Natalia.

It's our intent and hopefully everyone here to keep a positive,
upbeat and helpful relationship with one another in this forum.
While supporting one of the best shopping cart on the market - ViArt.

Our strong passion for ViArt was the sole reason HolleyLand was created, if we're able to generate a small income from our efforts fine, if not it would not diminish our appreciation to be connected with ViArt.

Have a pleasant day!

Chris, we do get great support from the staff and great value, did I ever disagree? No I did not.
For as much as you think I am complaining too much, I think that you are too happy for the product to be stagnant.

Basically I don't want great value, I want more features because they don't come fast enough with the current model.

It's just a point of view.

on2dvd , I think that you absolutely wrong and it looks like you even didn't check latest release 3.6 which has plenty of new new options, changes and improvements?

I could be wrong but it looks like Viart people did something really bad for you as you are complaining all the time without any obvious reason. Could you say what the real problem you have with Viart? Wink

No Monk, you do misunderstand.
I like the staff for their service. I just disagree with everybody else it seems, that the features are not that great added in V3.6 and I have been with Viart for 3 years but don't believe it has moved fast enough. How long did we wait for V3.6 and I expected more. That's all, I don't hold any grudges towards them at all. i just want more.

I do understand, and respect, what you are saying.

I don't doubt you have suffered many frustrations over those three years, but you have seen the program change beyond all recognition of the one in which you originally invested? Doesn't sound like slack to me.

I feel that knocking Viart is not necessary and adds a sadly negative air to the forum.

You _can_ pay lots more, as you know.
There is that option. And many of us have taken it.

v3.6 has some excellent improvements - perhaps they were just not what you wanted?

For the most part we have what we, and others before us, have paid for - and it is very good .... we can all pay more if we need more Wink

Hi LazyGatto

Read carefully the first announcement and view the Galleria,
that clearly illustrate what to expect before taking a test drive. Every thing mention in the announcement has been applied.

No mention made adding to cart, at this stage, This is only example, if your serious about something particular for your site, we can do whatever you require.

In the meantime have a pleasant day

Hi Tony:

What I could suggest is being able to enlarge the photos with a mouse over (there is some magic software out there).

Another suggestion that may be effective is the ability to show shipping charges right at the product level, enter your postal code and voila up pops a shipping cost. If you have signed in then it should already have the customers postal code.

I am sure we all have many suggestions to make.
