I want to edit the footer section where there are links to News, Links, Image Gallery...I understand these are articles and when I go to the articles section and check of Nobody to view, these articles are still there.
 
 
How do you get rid of articles without deleting them? Even if you delete them, the links still there.

 
Only way I managed to get rid of mine after acidently deleting one was to goto phpMyAdmin, look in the va_pages table and delete them manuall from there.

Please locate "Custom Pages" within the admin menu and select each of the page you do not wish to include link in the footer such as News and press "Edit Page" within this you will see option to " Show Link in Footer" untick this and the link will disappear.
