I am a newbie to ViArt and really like it so far, it seems a lot of the customizing of a store has to do with changing / adding html with the styles and templates folder and this is something that I am not really familiar with so please disregard if it seems that I am lost because I really am.
 
I have a question regarding the font size with categories and have done a search and found this post > http://www.viart.com/changing_fonts_and_display_of_left_menu_dot_.html < regarding what I would like to do. The post was from a while back and not sure if any thing has changed since it was posted. I have added the lines as suggested and still no change in the font size. It says add the following lines and have tried this several ways, I added the lines at the top and then at the bottom and then added them in between the lines where I think they should go. I’m sure the post is self explanatory but to some one that has no knowledge of it, it really seems confusing. I am keeping a copy before any changes so I can go back and reset what I have changed.
 
Could someone go into more detail as to just where these lines are to go. It would be very much appreciated.

The advice about insertion of lines to the styles templates is correct. Please, make sure that you edit an appropriate .css file. For example, if you use marine layout, then you have to open a marine css file and insert the recommended lines in it (try to insert top category font lines under top category background line, subcategory font lines under subcategory background line, etc.). Then change the size of fonts to the required ones and save the file. Go to your site and you will see that the fonts have changed to the sizes you have set in the .css file.
