Hello

Can you add the following:

eCommerce Promotions

1).Percentage-based Discount:

Set the discount % (can be 100% for free items).
1).Optionally set a start date and end date.
2).Optionally set a min qualifying qty for catalog discounts.
3).Optionally set a min $ order value (currency specific) for order discounts.

2).Dollar-based Discount: Select Category, Product, Product Variation or Order to apply a $ based discount to. Set the discount $ (currency specific)Options similar to “% based discount” options, substituting dollar-based amount for percentage-based amount

6).Free Shipping:

Allow free shipping if coupon code or campaign supplied
Allow free shipping for new customers (1st Order)

7).Custom Rule Components: Developers should be able to create custom rule components which business users can then use in their rules.

8).Price tiers for any product variation.
A price tier can be either a dollar amount or a percentage discount. For example, a product variation might look like this:
Qty up to 4: regular price
Qty 5 – 8: 10% off
Qty 9 +: 20% off

Well now we are seriously getting into marketing -
You are spot on - a serious on-line store must be able to offer like this.

In my original shop I have a deal that says:~
provided your total order is more than ?xx.xx then all xyz group products [product types in Viart] in that order will automatically qualify for a 10% discount.

Hello

I agree.

ViArt should definitely add the above features since it is not only about install and running an online store, the success greatly depends on marketing.

The above discount and promotions is just ONE aspect of Marketing.

I would like to hear if ViArt would be willing to add the above features to ViArt in their upcoming versions.

Whilst we are about marketing, why not get a focus on this whole area for Viart?
A few more:

1 - the 'print' & 'e-mail' links at the top of the product detailed page get overlooked.
My customers do not spend time trying to understand the site. Everything needs to be very clear and obvious.

2 - a place for customers to post their wish list - this one works, so what about one in the shop?
In my original store I have a link to a simple machines forum with a wish list page.
It has been very successful and we have captured many customers this way.

3 - Reviews - detail page.
Reviews enhance the shopping experience which we are told is the way forward. Being at the page bottom it gets missed.
After the word "reviews" the presentation needs more thought. And when reviews are added we need to be able to specify how many show by default.
Reviews should also be available to be shown, as an option, below the "highlights" list.
Also - when a customer has ordered an e-mail to customer asking to review the product with a link back - just like Amazon.

4 I have mentioned elsewhere about loyalty bonuses.
EG:
— Place an order every month for six months (get a habit going) and get "deal".
— When your total purchases exceed ?xxxx get a voucher for ?YY.

5 Introduce a friend and when friend orders with this voucher number you get "deal".

And I bet there is a mass of even better ideas around?

I have just seen the "Bonus Points functionality " in the new release. That's a great step forwards that I look forward to trying!
