I am running the free version of ViArt. When there are emails generated in a process, for example when an order was placed, the emails are never sent right away. The emails were always delayed by several hours. Does anyone have any idea what causes this? I have not filled in the SMTP field in admin, so emails are not sent through SMTP. Thanks.

I can't tell you the reason, except that with our shop (3.3.2) the emails are sent out immediately.

There is no difference between the paid and free version except volume restrictions as I understand it.
I receive e-mail notifications almost instantly - I guess the only time lag would be through the server?
All I can suggest is that when you upgrade to the paid version you will be ably to put in a support ticket and Viart will probably be helpful with this

All emailing has to do with individual domain hosting company. I'm not really sure that the smtp feature in viart works, as I've tried this and it's failed for me...

My suggestion is to alternatively try SMTP and if that does not work contact the hosting company as it is then clearly an issue with the PHP sendmail function.
