How do I remove or change the links at the bottom of the page.

You can remove links in the footer via CMS > Custom Pages. Select News, for example, and click the 'Edit Page' link. Untick the ' Show Link in Footer' checkbox and the News link won't be shown on your site. You can remove Image Gallery, Links, etc in the same way.

You cant. It removed if you decide to buy a license.

Let me clarify this as the answers and info in FAQ is not to clear about this.
 
It is not sufficient to just edit the footer.html file.
 
The footer ONLY disappears when you buy a license and add the downloaded "license.php" file to your Viart installation.
 
The FAQ should be updated with this info.
