my viart hosted account, email and a seperate test account are down/unreachable. Is anyone else having this problem? Wall Bash

any idea why? not having a status board or anything like it we can't even tell if they know things are down. Angry

Yes, I'm having the same problem - with my PAID hosted solution.
And it's only been a week since the last downtime... :(
 
I too miss some sort of status report - and taking 12+ hours before even reading support requests posted through the support pages of ones user account is totally unacceptable.
Yes, I'm very annoyed - the past week my site has been unavailable 25% of the time. It's very difficult to build up a business under such conditions...

maybe they are running this as some sort of hobby company? My primary site is also PAID, the secondaty site is in development for someone else.
 
The support calls have not been read, with support being monday-friday i would expect them not to answer normal questions, but when the hosted boxes are down you would expect better.
 
There is not even a way to escalate it.. no one is reading the cases to begin with.

if they were relying on thier own (down) servers for notification its just an example of poor judgement.
 
if they don't monitor thier servers it really says something about them, as does if this was some type of planned downtime that no one was notified about.
 
case from yesterday (24 hours ago), has still not been viewed.

Yes mine is down too its really poor and not good enough service - surely there should be some checking?
 
Mine probably like everyone elses has been down since 11.30 am yesterday.

does anyone have a second path to support? or do we have to contact rackspace?
 
I was down last weekend as well, when I let them know about the error message on friday they said it would fix itself... it didn't & we were down till monday.
 
so we've been down 5 days out of 10.
 
How bad has everybody's elses downtime been?
 
While rackspace say's 'Fanatical Support' i'm not seeing that from viart

I have been with Viarts hosting for 1 year with ,to be fair , minimal downtime. max time down 5 hours (up to now) and probably about 5 or so times.
 
Though I am seriously considering moving now after this. I will just have to wait and hear what Viart have to say EVENTUALLY.

Yes, I don't get it, how is it possible that hosting company doesn't have anybody who is watching over the weekend, dont they read emails??? my clients are really dissapointed, and blaming me for viarts support after I recommended viart to them. I think it is time to look for better shopping cart with less confusing administration. About hosting: it is not even the question. neverCrazy

There were some hardware problems on our server which we have already fixed.
All your domains should now be accessible.
 
We agree that such situations should be solved quickly and you're to be notified within an hour or two. We can assure you that we'll use this situation as an important learning experience. We'll work hard to further decrease the number of downtimes and the time for fixing and notifying of such problems in future.
