What decides the articles order for Hot articles?
There is available a "Hot" checkbox on every Edit Article page located in " Descriptions " section so if you check it the article becomes hot and is displayed in the Hot Articles block.
And how do I change the order?
The order is determined by the value in article's "Order" field. Please note, in case two hot articles have the same value, for example '1', then such articles will be sorted alphabetically
I thought that they are ordered by the date, but the order on my page is not according to date nor first letter. I´m confused!
No date has nothing to do with it. In general sorting in ViArt is always goes by this scenario: 1) the value in item's Order * field; 2) if several items have the same order value they are sorted alphabetically.
