I have about 1500 products in my database all have loaded perfect however I am trying to do a massive price update and i have exported the entire csv file including the product id, however when i try to reimport the list it thinks all of the items are new products instead of existing.

Can anyone please help ASAP!

Thanks

I remember seeing this question before, so I think you'll find an answer in the forum. I believe the suggestion was to make sure to upload the id numbers too so it overwrites existing rather than creates new products. (I haven't used the upload feature myself).

Good luck!

Yeah i tried that I basically downloaded every thing available to the export file and changed prices and tried to reupload.

I made sure to import exactly what i downloaded. I have tried it will all products and just 1 product and the same result.

I have also made sure to change the settings under product settings to make sure product code is checked.

It worked yesterday but has stopped all of the studden.

Tried on all browers and XP, Win7 and OSX

just double-checking... when you exported the products (from within ViArt's export all products feature) did you check off product ID as one of the exported fields? And then include that field on the new uploads?

I made sure all of the boxes were checked.

Under "Product Settings" > IMPORT/EXPORT you will find Match Existed Products by product code OR by manufacturer code.

I believe you will need either one or both of those selected.

Hope that will help.
