Hi -
I've previsouly installed the Viart demo and everything works perfectly so I know there is no conflict with my standard server setup. However I purchased a license yesterday - but I am in a bit of a tricky situation when it comes to installation.
The site I will be running Viart on is currently setup with a 301 redirect to another of our ecommerce sites (until the Viart shop is up and running when the redirect will be deleted).
So.. to install Viart on a redirecting site I tried this.. uploaded all files as normal but as the website is redirecting I couldn't begin the installation process by visiting the normal web address (www.mywebsite.co.uk) as it just redirects (to www.otherwebsite.co.uk)... so I used the IPaddress http://139.167.**.**/~username/ and installed it that way...
but now I have a few problems.. if in Administration> General> Site URL I leave it as the correct setting http://www.mywebsite.co.uk then many of the buttons get sucked into the redirect and I end up on the other website! If I change the Site URL setting to http://139.167.**.**/~username/ then everything appears fine at the front end and in the admin... however the license.php does not seem to be activating and I'm stuck in demo mode..
Actually the license doesn't seem to be working when the Site URL is set to the correct address either..
Have you any ideas where my problem lies - or what actually is the correct procedure for setting up Viart in these circumstances.

..I solved it... simple really
just added a line of code to the .htaccess making my (static) IP address an exception to the redirect..

...I'm sure I'll be back again soon with more questions!
