Hi

I have two websites that I want to populate with a couple of products only. I have manually input them on one site, can I just export these products to the other website?

Kind regards
Kim

As file import/export for products affects _all_ the products the simple answer seems no.

You could open one browser tab on each of the websites and copy and paste between them which might be quicker than csv export into a spreadsheet, adding products and csv import into the other as you would also have to edit the new product ID numbers to unused ones.

I guess the only solution is export/import through mySQL?

I have to change some prices each month in a catalogue of several thousand products and this is what I do Smile

Thanks Ned and Chris, just being a little lazy, looks like I might as well use mysql. I just have a bit of a hangover about dbase manipulation since I destroyed one about 5 years ago.

I have not made any mistakes since, and always back up but it is a bit like agoraphobia (would they call it tablephobia)and I will now do almost anything not to have to play with the database. Still, not here for counselling, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger...

We all get those life altering experiences!

When I first set up my Viart store and had inserted a couple of dozen products I decided to keep updating as I went along.

So I went to DB Management and clicked Apply Dump. Of course all my work was overwritten by the default set up! Urrgh!!!

Now I want to back up and realise I need to click Create New Dump". How easy is it for me to do this. The word 'dump' jumps out at me bringing me out in a cold sweat. Stupid or what? I don't know
