I have a customer who would like to have all his color choices for a product to show as blocks of color instead of text.
 
Is there any way to do this??

Yes, this is possible. If you go to product options, and select Options appearance, you can change/place the code there.

Options appearance.... I don't think that'll work. I want a customer to be able to choose a color in a list as the actual color and not the text for the color.
 
So each option value (ie blue black red green) instead of words I want a color swatch to show... how would I do that with options appearance?

If your colors are small jpg files, could you put in html in the subsequent options calling out color1.jpg, color2.jpg, etc.?
