Why is it that I see nothing on this page? product.php.
 
From my home page i click on products, and all I see is products page, but no products, I do get the products category on the left side.

You need to add products to the Product(s) [Top] category then you will see them when you click Products

How can I add custom blocks to this page, where do i find this page?

Administration > CMS >Products > Products Listing Page
