I would like to remove the read more option which is always placed under products or articles. I searched the forum and found that an administrator had responded to someone asking the same question. His response was 2 years ago though and it seems like I need to go about removing it a different way from how he described it.
 
He said to go to System>Static Messages>search read_more_msg and change its text to an empty string, however I'm only able to "readonly" this and I'm not sure how to edit it in any way.
 
My I'm just missing something.. Can someone explain how I would do this, as non technically as possible.

I think you have to get Viart to change the permission from "readonly" to "edit" if you are using their server. If you are using your own server you may have to contact your hosting service provider if you are not able to change it yourself.

If you're admin to the Viart cart, attempt the following:
login as admin.
System --> System Static Messages
In Search window, enter READ_MORE_MSG. Click Search.
In Search Result: Click 'Edit' to the far right of ReadMore
In Edit Message window, remove 'read more...' from the 'Message' section.
Save.
