Okay so I have a monthly membership/subscription that is a recurring payment. The only thing it enables is paid members get 25% off. This works, but the only problem is....
 
WHY does it charge shipping for the membership? I do not want it to charge them shipping, seeing as how NOTHING is being shipped. It is just a membership they're paying for.

Could you not stop this by increasing the minimum weight for the lowest shipping fee to something above zero. + also have a zero priced shipping module for an order that is 0.000 kilos (min and max) if a client then orders only the subscription this will charge them the zero priced module fee. I think !
 
I have not tried it to be honest but thought it could possibly work.

freezer, that does work. I have gift cards that are provided by e-mail. Each time is set to weigh 0.1 grams. Shipping is set to charge only when the total weight exceeds 1.0 grams.
 
This is why I asked about other products. If all artisanmg's products are downloads then he would not even need shipping?

I haven't actually used it, but when you add a new product you can select free shipping under 'stock and shipping'. So if you are selling other products and have an active shipping module, this might be the option to help with membership fees.
