Is there a tag reference for this script anywhere? Meaning tags like {name} and so forth

Yes, read all the HTML files and look through all the admin configuration pages that have 'click to see available tags'. You will need at least a week.
 
Sarcastic? Maybe a little. Better documentation would be great! I have wanted to see an 'architecture' document for some time so I understand the flow of the system. It's hard to modify if you have to reverse engineer everything.

Usually, the tags are described where they can be entered. For example, you can find the link 'click here to see available tags' near the textarea where the email messages can be edited.

I think we're all looking for the 'not usually' tags. You've stated the obvious, but that is not all the tags that the viart engine can process. For instance, most of the ones in the templates, etc.

Yes, I agree that a master list of ALL tags would be very useful. For example, I'm now trying to find what tag name to use so that the discount coupon number would be included in the order email sent to the admin, so I can have an easy reference to see what coupon codes the customer entered, rather than have to go into mySQL admin to dig through the database.
