For downloadable products we have the option to put in an agreement that the user has to agree to to be able to download the product:
"(To download the product user has to read and agree to our terms and conditions)"

I would like the customer to agree to this BEFORE they order the products - to be honest I think it is very silly to have this AFTER they've already made the purchase! What if the customer doesn't agree to the license terms? Well, its just too late! Not good at all...

So how can we make it so this/a agreement has to be accepted at the checkout page? All it takes is to to show the agreement and have a checbox that has to be checked before the customer is allowed to checkout.

Solution?

Why not put a "Custom Order Field" such as "I have read and agree etc . . ." and use a check box with 'required' attribute [admin//admin_order_info.php]?

This will then appear below the address details and be clicked before payment is made Wink

Good suggestion! Smile
(thanks also to ViArt support who suggested a similar solution)

I'll make a required tick box with "I accept the licence..." AND edit the template to make a table containing the license text itself.
(and then delete the license text from all the products in the database).

This will work until ViArt moves the product specific licence acceptance to a more logical step in the purchasing process.
