I need to add a hyperlink from the main menu on every page to an external website.
 
Can anybody tell me which template I need to add the code to?

No template. Just edit your navigational links and create it to point to another website.

Can't you just do this by putting the link in the Menu URL on Administration > Layouts > [theme] > Site Navigation ?
 
Or am I missing something?
