ViArt allows flexible customization of the 3 column structure. A few clients wanted "Cart and Search" to span across all 3 columns we successfully have done this with Java-Script.

1. Script allow placement in any position.
2. If visitor to your e-commerce has JavaScript off - revert to standard ViArt settings. Plus a WARNING BAR appear when click provide instruction to how to activate JavaScript for particular browsers.

Nice Trick Tony!

Are you open to sharing the script and how you integrated it into the store?

Tony, it would be helpful if you shared your tips in more detail here.

Many of us are trying to keep everything in one place:

For demo we use "timer.js and display.js" then added
"independent style sheet" that control the appears. In fact the warning bar is not really needed. No functionality will be lost - one cancel the other.

How does it work?
The new addition works pretty simple. It starts out by asking the page "Do we have a small cart or search section?" If the page responds with "Yes", then both the small cart and search section are gathered up and relocated to the top of the page. If one of them is missing, it won't be relocated. If both are missing, nothing will happen on the page.

So, in theory, all you need to do to add the "top-block - WARNING NOTICE" is to make sure you add cart and search into your pages in any location. Once you do that, the script
will relocate them.

This not only places the CART & SEARCH across columns but in any arrangement right/middle/left of the header or wherever.

This allows easier and faster modification on page layout reducing the cost and time for customizing.
