Hi

As a pc builder I want to give the customer several upgrade options for each product.

1. Can we select a base option ie. 120gb hard drive from our product range and then have upgrades which auto adjust the price without having to over ride prices not to include the cost of base option?

eg. if we have price as ?400 and then select base option of 160gb hard drive from product range it then adds the cost of this again. I know you can override but then have to override all upgrades as well. Is there a box to tick that says - include in list price?

2. The each option section is displayed in a row, how can i get them to be displayed as a list vertically?

Thanks for your help. Love product will definately be buying!

Hello,

We can offer you to use options functionality for this. You create a product, for example, a computer and add options to it, like 120gb, 160 gb hard drives, etc and set different prices for these options. Then when selecting an option the price of an option will be added to the basic price of the product. You can add options to each product or to a product type. Please, refer to this page to know more about setting options: http://www.viart.com/online_store_product_options.html

Sorry I Think you misunderstood

Is there a way of including the price of all the base options(which are catalogue proucts in their own right) in the default price displayed.

ie

Home PC - ?299

Base option -
200gb hdd - +?0.00 (product price in catalogue ?40)

500gb HDD - +?30.00 (Price in catalogue ?70)

If you over-ride the default price on the base option to ?0.00 the upgarde price will be displayed as ?70 not as ?30.00 (which then means you have to over-ride all upgrade options to reflect this)

Is there a button or script change to include base product price in unit price automatically and thus correctly displays upgrade price options without the need to over-ride them all.
