is there any way to add a 'Unsubscribe' link to the emails that the newsletter sends out??

You can alter the file "admin/admin_newsletter.html" to provide a link in all newsletters to the website Newsletter subscription box and then the recipient enters thier email address and presses "Unsubscribe".
 
Copy "admin/admin_newsletter.html" to a safe place.
In the working file at line 122 (or wherever you wish in the layout add the attached text.
 
Save the file and also copy it to a safe place.
 
This links to the newsletter subscription block if on the index page.

I have added the link http://www.mywebplace.se/index.php?unsubscribe=1 in the newsletter, and it works just fine. But if the subscribe block is placed in another page on the website, the link will look different. Then you can go to that page and click on the unsubscribe-link and copy the address to the newsletter.
