ViArt,

Since this is going to be released this month, I'm sure you already have all the new features in a list. How about putting together a shop feature update listing on here so we can see what to expect rather than wishful thinking? It's the middle of the month, and even if it's not released by the end, if I have a feature list that would help do some prep work.

Regards,

Dan (TOCDCO)

Hello everyone,

how many days are left for the exit?

We want to release it next week.

Vito, you don't mention one page checkout?

Most likely it will be released a little bit later.

which version php we need have to on server
and if is working on nginx

Usually there is no difference what version of PHP you will use on your server.

and why we are not able to see our page in viart through iphone ?

It should works well on different mobile gadgets including iPhone, as we don't use any platform specific coding.

Thanks,
Vito

Vito:

Thank you for all of the information you provided. Very insightful.

As for the response:

Vito, you don't mention one page checkout?

Most likely it will be released a little bit later.

Can you provide an idea of how long 'little bit' is supposed to mean. Can you tell us what the complication of this project is? I'm not sure that the 'multi-shpping' or 'mobile-version' are more important. Just trying to figure out this since it's been years since its expected release.

I like to say that this cart is a powerful product, and has worked for my clients over the years. My customers really are desiring the addition of OPC, and it's impact on abondoned carts. This is something very important to us, and I truly hope ViArt understands the demand for such feature.

Also, just putting it out there, Vera said on 4/5/2012:

As you remember a break between versions 3.6 and 4.0 was 2 years, now we release versions every few months so I wouldn't call it a rebound.

Yes 2007 and 2008 were pre-crisis years and things were looking better back then but so was every business Smile.

Last release (4.0.8) was released 08/23/2011. Tomorrow marks 1 year point from such release. I stand correct in my statement that fewer updates/releases are coming out. I know there's much improvement in the product in 4.0, but I'm hoping we can get our community back to what/where it was. I miss the days of such an active community on board.

I don't say this to be negative; I say this to show how important an active community can be to a product. This product IS a fantastic solution. It just needs some fine-tuning which I know you ViArt can accomplish.

Thank you for allowing me to have a product to supply to my customers over the last 5 years. I truly hope for another great 5 years.

Hello Dan,

ViArt Shop is not an easy thing for programming as it has quite a lot of different functions and options which we need to bind together to make OPC works correctly.

Next release is first stage of OPC functionality where we will release a little bit updated shop logic so then we can build OPC.

I won't give you any promises before we will know it for sure but we would like to realease OPC in a month or so after next release.

Thanks,
Vito

Vito,

That's great news to hear. As long as your timeline isn't pushed out another 6 months to a year, I think we've got a better estimate. Saying little bit longer, just wasn't soothing enough to the mind.

I am very much so excited about the growth of the product. Seems its going through a good overhaul while not reducing the functionality but growing it.

Thanks for the updates.

Regards,
Dan (TOCDCO)

Marian, just wondering why you're leaving CS-Cart? We're actually contemplating the opposite, and would like to hear where it's not meeting your needs.

A little question: So far you have been pretty good at working with SEO, but since it has been long time since last update the websites are now a bit oldfashioned, have you done any improvements of SEO in this coming new version? Like a hierarchy in the headlines or making all the important text in the webshop as titles?

I have two site's that use stock css templates and a site that is a custom design css. What do I have to worry about on the custom styled site when I upgrade to 4.1 version?

Thanks

I noticed in 4.1 that the Demo and Double themes added in 4.0.5(?) are no longer there. If we use one of these themes, will we have problems with the upgrade?
