Ok, I cannot figure out how to edit an order once a customer has submitted it. I had a customer order 5 of a particular product, and the cart allowed them to buy 5 units when there were only 4 available (this was my fault...my settings were wrong on that product). So basically, I refunded for the one item that wasn't in stock, but I can't figure out how to change the quantity ordered on the invoice and in the record of my sales. I'm trying to keep the info in Notes when this happens, but this doesn't help my accounting at all.

What am I missing? Is it not possible to change orders after they are placed in Version 3.6?

You need to click view edit/order link to the right hand side of the list of orders.

Once there click the link for actual product.

You will then be able to delete the product , or reduce the qty, chenge the price etc etc

Many people have covered the subject of not being able to add to an order or swap a product but thats another issue for the future. As a temporary workaround it would be good if viart automatically added one (or more) zero priced blank products that could be edited should a client add an extra item. This could be hidden from the invoice and customer until a box was ticked or something. But then you ave the issue of stock control which would have to domne manually etc etc

Freezer, you're awesome.

I seem to be missing the more obvious details this week.

Thank you!

Dave,

I would love to see a temporary workaround like you mentioned as customers do call to add to orders, edit orders, etc. Simply adding notes to the order isn't the best solution nor most professional.

Just my $.02.
