HI! Please change the current WYSIWYG html editor to something better. There is a lot of open source html editor.

TinyMCE is best and should be very easy to integrate.

Yes... we need also something that will allow external pulling of html in the custom blocks

Hi Minista - we have gone this route in detail before - if you scan through past threads.
I agree with you and hope that opening the topic again will encourage Viart.
I would also like to be able to remove the theme background from the edit field.
Do not expect TinyMCE or others as Viart says they are committed to a homogeneous solution; I am sure they can do it if it is a high enough priority in development schedule. I don't know

About 6 months ago I suggested this to viart, pointing to TinyMCE and how it's implemented in wordpress. they responded like they never heard of wordpress or TinyMCE.

'nuff said.

I dont think Viart will implement any external projects into their own.

This goes for the forum as well.

Im just going to add to this then a complaint ive made to viart about their own editor. Its crazy, but you cant update links youve made.

Users are expected to edit the source code and edit existing urls manually! Whats the point of a WYSIWYG editor if it forces people that have no idea about html to start having to edit raw code for something as simple as this!?!?!

Wall BashWall BashWall BashWall BashWall Bash

Sorry... rant over.
Please at least update the interface to include editing of existing urls in html. its a basic requirement, really.

Out of interest, has anyone here tried to add tinymce/fckeditor into viart?

I tried tinymce but could not get it to work - I use Xinha within my Firefox browser for simple stuff : an external editor for more involved work and quite neat code I use CoffeeCup html editor and copy the code across (this editor is good value, rather neat and fast)

At least as a retailer user I can just get on with my work without losing hair; although I do appreciate that this is not a tidy solution for developers who then have to pass everything to their own clients!
