I really hate to do this, but can someone please explain to me how to set up my site so customers can register products purchased from my site? I can't seem to get the 'big picture' of what I need to do. I'm sure it's simple, but I can't get the idea of it by simply looking at the screens, and of course, there are no instructions that I can find in the manuals...
 
Thanks for any 1.2.3 type steps...all I really need is the basic idea of setting it up, I can read the screens after that.

From version 3.6 in ViArt there is available a Registrations module which should suit your needs. How to use it:
 
1) If you don't see it in the administration top menu like Products, Orders, CMS, Articles etc. go to Administration > System > Privilege Groups > Edit and find the "Registrations" section where check all the fields and save the changes.
 
2) The next step is to allow users to register their products, for this go to Administration > Site Users > Users Types > Edit Type and check the following fields:
- My Registered Products
- Can user access to the products registration section
- Automatically approve products registration
 
3) Configure the Registration fields and e-mail settings in Administration > Registrations > Product Registration Settings.
