I'm considering ViArt... can one limit shipping to just one state (e.g., California)? Some products cannot be shipped out of state.
 
Also, can shipping be restricted to within some distance of a zip code?
 
If the customer wants to pick the item up at the store, can they choose that option? Can it be done on a per-product basis? That is, they'll pick up some items at the store, but want the rest of them shipped.

Unfortunately, at present there is no possibility to restrict shipping by a state only or by a zip code. You can just set different shipping methods per particular country.
Also, shipping methods are calculated per order not for one particular product.
In case you need these restictions badly you can add your request via http://www.viart.com/support and we will calculate the cost and time for implementation of this functionality.
