We are looking at purchasing Viart Enterprise for a number of our customers, but I have a question about the numerous levels of UK VAT.
 
I can see in the Viart manual that you can only set up one tax rate per country. I need a minimum of 4 (ideally more) as in the UK, there are multiple VAT rates, a few are: 17.5%, 13.5%, 5% & Zero.
 
I need to be able to choose what VAT rate applies to each individual product. Products with different VAT rates will also be sold in bundles, so I need the cart to calculate the correct total VAT on that bundle.
 
Is there a way of having more than one tax rate for the UK? This is an essential part of the shopping cart for us.
 
Many other php shopping carts do offer multiple Tax/VAT levels per product, but this cart has other features we are interested in and it seems a nice cart to work with.
 
I also submitted this as a support question yesterday.
 
I would really appreciate it if someone could get back to me on this as soon as possible.

From version 3.0 ViArt offers you the possibility to set a tax value per product type. This value will overwrite the base tax. For this go to Admin > Orders > Tax Rates > Edit Tax and specify the tax for each product type.
 
There are four default product types in the ViArt Shopping cart: Product, Accessory, Gift Voucher and Bundle.
 
You may also need to set a tax value to your own product type. For this you have to add a new product type going to: Admin > Products > Products Types > New Product Type. When your product type is added you can set an appropriate tax value in the Tax settings.
