Please have Anjula contact me. This is Ean Yost with Mobilityville.com. We are continuing to have probs with the software, we want to have a complete walk through with this new update and proper procedures. We also feel with all the probs we've been having with your software and all the down times this has caused we feel this update should be done by you at no cost to us. Also, our site was brought down from a hack from the log-in your company uses on our site. This needs to be researched on your end, we have files to prove the break-in. I need a contact number we have to many issues to rectify on the forum comms. Thank you Ean Yost,. Vice President Mobiltyville.com

odd... anyway - the site is down. Viart team helped me with update when I got stuck with something, so it is free anyway... Not clear how Viart can cause downtime... It either works or doesn't... With hack in - well, exact info is needed to show that break in was made due to Viart security hole. Of course it would be done with the same login and password that you have given to Viart team as it is the one with which the site can be accessed, by you, by Viart, by the hacker if he got hold of it somehow, which he did if you're right and there has indeed been a break in. A much more likely scenario is that your server or personal pc, which has login info saved somewhere has a troyan/keylogger running.
Either way best way to deal with it is to write this to support and then post on the forum if a problem has been confirmed and indeed comes from Viart.

I think you should open a support ticket rather than posting it on the forum.

you will get quick responce through the ticket

looks more like antiPR case to me frankly since I'm using Viart and I know the problems the guy is talking about aren't possible due to Viart. So either their IT guy messed something up and is bullshitting them or they just don't like Viart...

Kami, if your your entire online sales are down, then that "is" down time and ofcourse Viart can be held responsible for the product they claim ownership of, thus the support they promise to the product they are commercially distributing licensing for. It don't matter if Viart makes you sign a waiver or agreement, legally and with a damn good lawyer, it won't hold up in any court if the business can prove damages resulting in direct use of. The "license" issue is the loop hole. Trust me, this is common and many online businesses have been sued due to this. Remember CartIt Corporation?

I agree it should have been done on a support ticket but in a way it's nice to know and see how attentative Viart is towards this oneSmile

Well, point is I don't get how the entire site can go down with Viart, though I must admit my db once just disappeared - what triggered it, I am not sure, but what I did to fix it did not follow from Viart configuration, but my server configuration. For this reason I have a feeling your sysadmin might've screwed it up and then blamed Viart as a shortcut... Just a guess.
