Hostgator upgraded their PHP to version 5.4, and when this occurred, the Viart Script stopped loading. Luckily they have a revert back to 5.2 set-up in their control panel.

This is something the design and developing teams need to be aware of ....

I'm using Apache/2.4.4 (Win32) PHP/5.4.16 on my local dev setup with no problems.

My live system uses Apache/2.2.25 (Unix) PHP/5.3.28

Suggest maybe that you create a phpinfo and also turn on error reporting

Viart are well aware of this. Its a problem with a lack of support from Zend who made the encoder that viart 3.x relies on to encode some of its files.

As you say, as long as PHP is on 5.x or less viart 3.x is fine. Anyone with problems installing PHP 5.2 on their server just ask.

Why are you responding to such old threads? You're bringing up messages that are irrelevant at this time, and pushing down the ones that are more pressing issues. These are from over a year ago? Also they're on versions that aren't current.

Bad Waste of our time, on the forums.
