ViArt Shop v2.7 released

Here’s the short list of changes in the release of our online store solution: Product settings, E-mail and SMS notification settings per product, HelpDesk notification, Image resizing functionality, Image validation to prevent robots submit, Tax rate system based on product types and more. We are proud to announce our new version of ViArt Shop. As usual, the version includes lots of new features; however, the main additions lie within 'Product Settings' section along with changes to the main product-editing page.

Here is the full list of changes:

  • Product settings
    From now on, all product settings are moved from the 'Global Settings' section into separate section named 'Product Settings' (Administration > Shopping Cart > Product Settings). You can now easily access any product settings from a single page.
  • E-mail and SMS notification settings per product
    With ViArt v.2.7 you can set up an e-mail and SMS notification per each product. This can be very useful if you want to apply the option to only some of your products rather than to all of them. Customize your notifications at the 'Notification' tab in main product settings.


  • HelpDesk notification
    Now you can email your clients without the need to wait an initial request from them. Should you want to inform your clients or send any additional info, you can create a message in HelpDesk System; the message will be automatically sent to client's email if you tick the 'Send notification to client' checkbox at the foot of the page.
  • Image resizing functionality
    Thanks to the new image resizing functionality in the 'Product Settings' section, you can define maximum width and height of any image uploaded to the system. Moreover, you can tell the system to automatically resize images if their dimensions exceed default values.


  • Image validation to prevent robots submit
    In order to prevent mass robot submission we've added image validation option to customer settings (Administration > Customers > Profile Settings/Types > Profile Settings), HelpDesk settings (Administration > HelpDesk Support > HelpDesk Settings) and forum settings (Administration > Forum > Settings).
  • Tax rate system based on product types
    Starting from version 2.7 you can set up taxes rate depending on the product type. Note that in this case, such type percentage will overlay the basic tax.


  • Expanded forum settings
    It is now possible to assign moderators to your forum, define users that are allowed to view different forum topics, set random image validation and track forum statistics.

  • Three payment systems added:
  • Fixed problem with editable price option.
  • Fixed problems with handling subcomponents.
  • During checkout process Name, First Name and Last Name fields on Payment Details page are populated automatically from Personal Information page.
  • Data exported to Froogle feed includes taxes.
  • New 'Products (Subcategories list)' block added which can be used along with the 'Products (Categories list)' block.
