3.4.2. Global website layout

The overall view of each layout is defined by its global settings. In order to set up the global settings, please go to Administration > CMS > Layouts > the Layout you want to have > 'Global' link. Here you can change the look and feel of an existing layout as well as create a new one. The following fields are: Layout Name will be shown in the main list of all available layouts (at admin_layouts.php page). Style Name can contain a short description of the style you apply to the layout Templates Directory presents the actual path to where templates for storefront pages are stored. When creating a new layout you need to first place a corresponding folder with associated files into the folder where all your templates are located (By default this is the 'Templates' folder directly in the root directory). At the point where you select to add a new layout, the system will prompt you to select the appropriate folder from the drop-down list on the right. Note: ViArt Shop is based on CSS, therefore only one set of templates is required for all designs. Admin Templates Directory presents the actual path to which the templates for administration section are stored. By default this is the 'Admin' folder, but you can change this if necessary. To save the changes you made click the 'Update' button. In order to delete the layout click the 'Delete' button. If you want to leave without saving click 'Cancel'.
