When running an online store, it is very important to stay up to date with what happening behind the scenes. With ViArt Shop it is possible remain aware of occurrances on your site, even if you are away from your computer!. This is possible thanks toViArts SMS functionality, this function allows you to setup your shopping cart system to send you SMS's whenever certain event/s occur.
In order to enable the service for your ViArt Shop you need to realize the sms_send function in the includes/sms_functions.php file. The function is a rather specific one and does require some knowledge and skills. If necessary, please contact our support team for any help and advice.

Another way of using the SMS service is for managing orders. Should it be necessary to contact a customer quickly regarding his/her orders, you can simply send an SMS-message. For more information see section 6.1.
An additional SMS feature of ViArt Shop is the ability to enable your customers to send SMS-messages from your site for free or for a small extra charge. For this, a special block should be added to your pages, e.g. on the main page (see section 3.4.4).
