E-commerce is a place where fraud is very possible. So, you have to protect yourself and your customers as well. With ViArt Shop you can watch IPs your customer use for shopping and block those you think might be trickery.
Should you need to prevent a customer from entering your online store or at least want to keep an eye on him/her, you may add his/her IP to the black list. This can be done from the 'Order Details' page (see section 6.1). Click the 'Add to Black List' link and all actions for this IP will be blocked. However, you mightn't want to be so flat and would like just to keep vigilant watch on the customer and his/her orders. In such a case you have to indicate this in the 'Black Ips' section.
Please do to Administration > System > Black Ips. Your screen should look like the following:
Note: The IP will be different.
By default when adding an IP to the black list, the system blocks all activities from this IP. If you want to change this, click the 'Edit' link.
Here you can set the system's behavior (set red warnings for administrators or block all activities) as well as add some comments.
- If you tell the system to block all activities from a specific IP, the customer using it won't be able even to login in the store.
- If you choose red warning for administrators, the system will show all order placed from the IP in red; the customer won't even notice anything.
Note: There is another way of composing your IP black list. It is not obligatory to wait for a swindler. You may add IPs that you are sure to be fraud manually by using the 'Add New IP' link in the 'Black Ips' section.
